The
Midleton station, like most stations in the early days of
railway in Ireland, was built in red brick with carved limestone
quoins, in the Tudor Revival style.
Typical
features of the time were timber barge boarding, clay ridge-tiling
and paired timber brackets under eaves.
The station has been restored and now comes with new Park
and Ride facilities for commuters to Cork City.
