UP AND RUNNING!

After 21 years of inactivity, the Midleton Railway Station has been reopened to the public.

The first train journey on the new Midleton to Cork line took place on 30 July 2009. The opening of this new commuter route cost €75,000,000 as part of the Government's Transport 21 programme.

The trains run every 30 minutes at peak times and every hour at off-peak times

TIMETABLE

Expect the journey to Cork to take 24 minutes. The station has new ‘park and ride’ facilities. A day return ticket will only cost you €6.50.

Each commuter train has a capacity for 320 passengers, including seating for 129 passengers. The current trains have two carriages.

Platforms have been built to accommodate future expansion to four-carriage trains.
